Writing Weeks 17

hey… no one has been here for a good century or two, and I get bored in my TA period.  so come on guys…

let’s try to think of something…

so I, Erika, have read through all the writing weeks we have had, and this question, suprisingly, has not popped up. so here goes..

Who is your role model and why?

Responses

  1. so i dont have just one role model. i have several. its me…youll have to get over it.
the first and most important is Jesus. although i am nothing like Him, i want to be. i want to be exactly like Him. however, such is not yet possible…
second- my mom. she is the sweetest, kindest, most God like woman i know. she loves kids and has taught me to fight my own battles, love like no other, keep my dreams alive, and stay pure in everything.
third… my boss. the new one. Cristin. if i could use strong words on here, i would, but since i cant… shes teaching me how to say no. cause weve recently decided that i cannot. shes taught me that its my life to live, i dont have to take any crap from anyone.
fourth… brittany brown. not only is she my best friend, but she is one of my many role models. we all know and love her dearly. you can do the math.
fifth… yes its cheesy. but im freakishly in love with the guy. hes gonna be around, you guys. jeffrey. idiot that he is, i can somewhat stand up for myself and definitely for others because of him. i dont care what other people think of me because its only important if i deem those people important. and im blunt. its fun.
thats it. come on… your turn.

  2. scuse??

    where the heck is everyone??

i thought everyone loved this place.

  3. Everyone is busy, I suppose.

I tend to generally shy away from the “role-model” question. Pretty much because I don’t really have one.

Jesus, of course, because He is the ultimate role model.

Other than that, I try to re-create certain behaviors, or acts, rather than look up to one specific person. Each of us has certain characteristics that are especially admirable, and I see those in others. Kind of like spiritual gifts.

Example: enouragers- If I see someone being especially encouraging, it reminds me that I need to encourage, too.
